The EUSR SHEA Cross Country Pipelines Course follows the same structure as the SHEA Core qualification, plus three additional pipeline-specific modules. SHEA Cross Country Pipelines training is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the role and importance of wayleaves and contracts on cross country operational sites.

SHEA Cross Country Pipelines training covers areas including basic technical processes, hazard control, environmental protection measures, and traffic management when working with long-distance, cross country pipelines. The course also covers how archaeological finds on sites should be managed, and safe working practices around protected or invasive species of animal and plant life.

Includes all material from the EUSR SHEA Core qualification, plus three additional, gas pipeline-specific modules.

SHEA Cross-Country Pipelines develops an understanding of the role and importance of wayleaves and contracts in the operation and management of cross-country sites, as well as reinforcing the need for environmental protection of the land, and the management of archaeological finds and protected/invasive species of animal and plant life.

The course also specifies hazards associated with a range of technical processes involved in the laying of cross-country pipelines. Basic technical processes, addresses related hazards and protective measures are outlined.

Last of all, the purpose of a clear and comprehensive Traffic Management Plan (TMO) for a pipeline construction site is detailed. Typical pipeline site traffic management issues are covered, and good practice in relation to site traffic safety is shared.

  • "A great and essential course, at least for the five of us who needed it. It was a little repetitive in places, however that is down to legislation in place and I can't fault John who was exceptional, he kept it light and stress free. He took time to go over parts people were not sure of and gave excellent explanations."
